Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with both a Doctorate and a Master's degree in Social Work, specializing in clinical practice. I have gained valuable experience working in community mental health, crisis services, and supporting adults with severe mental illness. I've also had the opportunity to work closely with individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, adoption, or kinship care. Additionally, I’ve volunteered in refugee resettlement and sexual assault crisis services. Coming from a family with military ties, I truly understand the unique challenges and transitions that come with military life.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, and other mental health challenges. I believe the best therapy is collaborative. I'll meet you where you are, build on your strengths, and help you develop practical skills you can use outside of session.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, person-centered, and holistic. I believe your experiences, relationships, environment, and strengths all play a role in your mental health, so I take time to understand you as a whole person, not just your symptoms.

I don't believe therapy is one-size-fits-all. Every person has their own story, goals, and needs, which is why I customize your treatment with care. I draw from proven methods and mindfulness techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution-Focused Therapy, to support you in the best way possible.

I strive to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported. Therapy is also a place for growth. I'll ask thoughtful questions, gently challenge unhelpful patterns, and offer honest feedback when it supports your goals.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. I'll spend much of our time listening and asking questions so I can better understand who you are, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to achieve.

You don't have to tell your whole story during our first meeting. Some people are ready to share deeply personal experiences right away, while others need more time. Both are okay. We'll move at a pace that feels right for you.

I also encourage you to ask me questions. Finding the right therapist is important, and our first session is an opportunity for both of us to decide whether we're a good fit.
