Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Doctor of Behavioral Health with 11 years of experience in the field of social work. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals across the lifespan, from children to older adults, in both inpatient and outpatient crisis settings. My experience includes supporting individuals navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, severe mood disorders, life transitions, and complex emotional experiences.

I have also had the privilege of working with current and formerly incarcerated individuals who have faced significant mental health challenges and life circumstances. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate, individualized care that recognizes each person’s unique story, strengths, and capacity for growth.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a K–12 American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter, collaborating with educational teams to support inclusion and accessibility for students with diverse learning needs and multiple diagnoses. This background continues to influence my approach by emphasizing communication, understanding, advocacy, and meeting individuals where they are.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and individualized. I work with each client to develop a personalized plan that aligns with their goals, needs, and values. I incorporate cognitive and solution-focused interventions designed to help clients identify their strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and discover their own ability to create meaningful change.

I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. At the same time, I believe in the importance of a direct and honest therapeutic relationship that encourages growth, accountability, and progress.

I believe every individual has inherent strengths and abilities that can become lifelong tools for resilience and well-being. My goal is to help clients recognize, strengthen, and apply those skills so they can continue building a fulfilling life long after therapy ends.

What you can expect from me

Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and my goal is to make the process feel comfortable, collaborative, and meaningful from the very first session. During our initial meeting, we will focus on getting to know you—your experiences, current challenges, strengths, and what you hope to gain from therapy.

After our first session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of the areas we will focus on and a personalized approach designed around your unique needs and goals. Together, we will identify patterns, explore current challenges, and begin developing practical tools and strategies to support emotional well-being and personal growth.

Therapy is a collaborative process, and I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to provide guidance, support, and evidence-based interventions while helping you recognize the strengths and abilities you already possess. As we continue working together, you can expect a safe, non-judgmental space where we will celebrate progress, address obstacles, and build skills that can support lasting change.
