Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome. I’m Katherine, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works primarily with adults and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and major life transitions.

My style is warm, straightforward, and collaborative. I’m not here to judge you or simply nod along—I’m here to really understand you, to name what’s been hard, and to help you move toward the life you actually want. Together, we’ll look at both what’s happening right now and the deeper patterns that keep pulling you back into the same cycles.

I bring years of experience supporting people through breakups and divorce, career changes, identity shifts, family stress, and the quiet, internal crises that don’t always show on the outside. My goal is to offer a grounded, steady place where you can be honest, feel less alone, and start to rebuild your sense of self from the inside out.

My approach to therapy

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to really listen—to hear not just the words you say, but the meaning underneath them. I help clients put language to experiences they’ve struggled to explain, which often brings a sense of relief and clarity.

I’m also comfortable going to the deeper layers: old wounds, shame, complicated family stories, and the parts of yourself you may have hidden or felt you had to perform around. I hold a grounded, calm presence even when we’re talking about intense emotions, which helps you feel safer exploring what you’ve been carrying.

Clinically, I draw from insight‐oriented and evidence‐based approaches. That means we’ll both explore “why” these patterns developed and work on practical tools for managing anxiety, low mood, and relationship stress in the present. I’m direct but caring, and I’ll be honest with you while also respecting your pace and limits.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my priority is to create a space where you can exhale and be real—no need to have the “perfect” story prepared. We’ll start with what brought you here now: what feels overwhelming, stuck, confusing, or painful.

I’ll ask thoughtful questions about your history, key relationships, and the transitions you’re currently moving through. You’re always in control of what you share and how quickly we go. If something feels like too much, we’ll slow down and focus on grounding first.

Together, we’ll begin to clarify your goals for therapy. That might include easing anxiety or depression, untangling patterns in relationships, learning to set boundaries, or grieving a version of your life that no longer fits. I’ll share how I work, offer initial reflections, and collaborate with you on a plan that feels both supportive and realistically doable in your day‐to‐day life.
