Great to meet you!

I earned my Master of Social Work degree from University of Southern California and have been working in outpatient and community mental health settings for the last 10 years. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults, but I am now focusing on adults with symptoms of anxiety and depression.

My approach to therapy

I do not believe therapy is a one-size-fits-all approach, but rather a collaborative effort. You are the expert of your own life, and I work with each person to identify targeted needs, wants, and goals, and adjust my approach as needed. That being said, I do incorporate a lot of CBT techniques as I strongly believe our mindset and thought patterns have a significant impact on our mood, functioning, and behaviors.

What you can expect from me

I feel we can all be kinder and more gracious to ourselves, so I will do a lot of modeling of this in our time together. We will look at what negative, unhelpful thoughts or core beliefs you are holding, and work on challenging and reframing these together. Depending on your schedule and capacity, we can identify appropriate exercises and assignments to further reinforce these ideas in between sessions.
