Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed psychologist with a background in developmental psychology, neuropsychology, and trauma-informed care. I work with adults navigating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, chronic pain, brain injury, work-related stress, grief, and difficult life transitions.

I earned my PhD in psychology from Stanford University and have spent much of my career at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, teaching, and clinical care. That background has taught me to look beyond symptoms and understand the whole person, including your experiences, relationships, health, environment, strengths, and the ways you’ve learned to cope.

My approach to therapy

I take a biopsychosocial approach, which means there is no one-size-fits-all version of therapy. We’ll work together to understand what is happening, what may be keeping you stuck, and what meaningful change looks like for you.

My style is affirming, empowering, and collaborative with room for challenge. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel genuinely heard and respected, but I also won’t simply nod along. When it’s helpful, I’ll invite you to look at patterns, beliefs, or behaviors from a different perspective.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including CBT, CPT, EMDR, ACT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, attachment-informed therapy, and narrative therapy. We’ll use the approaches that best fit you and what you want to accomplish.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know one another. I’ll want to hear what brought you to therapy, what has been difficult, what is already helping, and what you hope might be different.

You don’t need to have everything figured out or tell your whole story at once. We’ll go at a pace that feels manageable and begin identifying the areas where you would most like support or change.

You can expect me to be curious, engaged, and straightforward. I’ll listen carefully, ask questions, help you make connections, and sometimes challenge you to consider something differently.

Most importantly, we’ll approach therapy as a partnership. You bring expertise in your life; I bring expertise in psychology, and we’ll use both.
