Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a PhD in Clinical Psychology and over a decade of experience working with adults in medical and mental health settings. I currently practice in both a hospital-based Consultation-Liaison Psychology service and private practice, where I help individuals navigate anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, relationship concerns, health challenges, trauma, and major life transitions.

I have particular experience working with healthcare professionals, first responders, pilots and aviation professionals, and other high-achieving individuals who often carry significant responsibilities while struggling privately. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice, while also recognizing that meaningful change often comes from understanding the deeper patterns, relationships, and experiences that shape our lives.

I also have a special interest in supporting individuals on weight loss and health-improvement journeys, including those using GLP-1 medications such as Zepbound, Wegovy, or Ozempic. Significant weight loss can bring unexpected emotional, relational, and identity-related challenges, and I enjoy helping clients navigate both the psychological and practical aspects of creating sustainable change.

Whether you are seeking relief from a current struggle, greater self-understanding, or support during a difficult season of life, I strive to create a space where you feel understood, respected, and empowered to move forward.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it is both supportive and honest. My approach is collaborative, meaning we work together to understand what is happening in your life, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical ways to create meaningful change. My work is informed by psychodynamic therapy, which focuses on helping people understand the deeper emotional experiences, relationship patterns, and beliefs that influence how they see themselves and interact with others.

At the same time, I draw from other evidence-based therapies (such as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy) and tailor treatment to each person's needs. Some clients come to therapy looking for concrete tools and strategies, while others want a space to better understand themselves and their relationships. Most people benefit from a combination of both. My goal is to help you gain insight, build resilience, and develop a life that feels more authentic, fulfilling, and aligned with your values.

What you can expect from me

The first few sessions are an opportunity for us to get to know one another. You'll have time to share what has brought you to therapy, your concerns, and what you hope might be different in your life. While you'll likely do more talking than I do initially, therapy is a conversation, and I will ask questions, offer observations, and help us begin making sense of what you're experiencing.

I typically view the first two to three sessions as a period of assessment and relationship-building. During that time, we'll work together to develop a shared understanding of your concerns, identify goals for therapy, and discuss how I may be able to help. Just as importantly, you'll have the opportunity to get a sense of what it is like to work with me and whether the fit feels right for you.
