Great to meet you!
My path to becoming a therapist has been shaped by a lifelong passion for understanding people and helping them grow. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a psychology teacher, giving me the opportunity to help students better understand themselves, their relationships, and the challenges they face. My experiences as both an educator and a lifelong learner, living in the United States and abroad, have given me a deep appreciation for the many ways culture, family, and life experiences shape who we are.
Like many people, I have worn many hats throughout my life—including daughter, sister, friend, wife, and mother—which has strengthened my belief that every stage of life brings unique joys, challenges, and opportunities for growth. These experiences help me connect with clients from a place of empathy, curiosity, and respect.
Professionally, I have worked in school systems, supporting students and collaborating with families, as well as providing therapy in school settings, private practice, and community mental health agencies. This diverse background has allowed me to work with individuals and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, and a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges.
I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore the root causes of their struggles while building practical skills and confidence to create meaningful, lasting change. I believe that healing happens through understanding ourselves more deeply, recognizing our strengths, and taking manageable steps toward the life we want to live.
