Great to meet you!

My path to becoming a therapist has been shaped by a lifelong passion for understanding people and helping them grow. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a psychology teacher, giving me the opportunity to help students better understand themselves, their relationships, and the challenges they face. My experiences as both an educator and a lifelong learner, living in the United States and abroad, have given me a deep appreciation for the many ways culture, family, and life experiences shape who we are.

Like many people, I have worn many hats throughout my life—including daughter, sister, friend, wife, and mother—which has strengthened my belief that every stage of life brings unique joys, challenges, and opportunities for growth. These experiences help me connect with clients from a place of empathy, curiosity, and respect.

Professionally, I have worked in school systems, supporting students and collaborating with families, as well as providing therapy in school settings, private practice, and community mental health agencies. This diverse background has allowed me to work with individuals and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, and a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges.

I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore the root causes of their struggles while building practical skills and confidence to create meaningful, lasting change. I believe that healing happens through understanding ourselves more deeply, recognizing our strengths, and taking manageable steps toward the life we want to live.

My approach to therapy

I believe that healing is most effective when we address both the symptoms clients are experiencing today and the underlying experiences and patterns that contributed to them. My approach is integrative, drawing from solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, trauma-informed, and insight-oriented therapies to meet each client's unique needs.

Together, we will identify your strengths, explore the root causes of recurring challenges, and develop practical tools to manage anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I believe that lasting change comes from increased self-awareness combined with concrete skills that can be applied in everyday life.

My style is warm, collaborative, and direct. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel understood while also being gently challenged to explore new perspectives and healthier ways of coping. Rather than simply managing symptoms, I work with clients to recognize patterns that no longer serve them, build emotional resilience, strengthen relationships, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.

I view therapy as a partnership. Every client brings unique strengths and experiences, and together we create a personalized path toward growth, healing, and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it's normal to feel uncertain or even nervous. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive space where you can share your story at your own pace.

During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I'll ask questions about your personal history, relationships, strengths, and any past experiences that may be influencing your current concerns. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Together, we'll begin identifying patterns, exploring the root causes of your struggles, and discussing practical strategies that can provide relief while working toward lasting change. We'll also collaborate on goals that reflect what is most important to you.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and solution-focused. I believe therapy is a partnership built on trust, respect, and curiosity. Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, or a major life transition, you can expect to be met with compassion, understanding, and a focus on helping you build the insight and skills needed to create meaningful and lasting change.
