Great to meet you!

Life can bring unexpected challenges, difficult transitions, and moments when we aren't sure where to turn. With over 40 years of experience in the field, I've had the privilege of supporting individuals through a wide range of life's experiences, from struggles with anxiety and depression to substance use, grief, and major life changes. I have a particular passion for helping individuals navigate alcohol and substance use concerns, loss, bereavement, and end-of-life transitions. I also hold an international certification in drugs and alcohol counseling. My goal is to meet you where you are, understand your story, and help you find support, clarity, and a way forward, whatever season of life you're in.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be shaped around the individual, not a one-size-fits-all approach. Drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT, rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and strengths-based therapy, I work to help clients better understand their experiences, develop healthier coping strategies, and recognize the strengths they already possess. Whether we're working through substance use, processing grief, navigating end-of-life concerns, or managing anxiety and depression, I bring compassion, perspective, and decades of experience to our work together.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another and talk about what brings you to therapy. You can share as much or as little as you're comfortable with. We'll discuss your experiences, what you're hoping to work through, and what you would like to gain from counseling. There is no expectation that you have everything figured out before we begin. We'll take things one step at a time and work together toward goals that feel meaningful to you.
