Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with experience working with school-aged youth in both an outpatient setting and mobile crisis setting, providing me with the ability to navigate and communicate about tough subjects and stay calm in a high-emotion environment. Both settings have provided me opportunities to address stressors from family conflict, school stressors, trauma, depression, anxiety, and impulsivity/ADHD. It has also provided opportunities to work with neurodivergent populations and various providers to provide comprehensive treatment and support. I have also worked with the elderly or vulnerable populations at nursing facilities, allowing me to provide support when one might be at their most vulnerable.

My approach to therapy

Rapport building and creating a comforting environment is vital to the therapeutic alliance, as how can I expect one to "do the work" or be open without feeling allowed to be their most vulnerable. Whether it's while discussing difficult subjects, challenging oneself, or through the use of humor, how you want and allow yourself to be supported varies.

What you can expect from me

An intake session is all about learning more about the client and their family, with sharing being at the client's comfort level. Time is set aside to discuss policies, expectations from the clinician and/or client (your voice matters), and to provide an opportunity to ask questions. Though I provide structure, treatment goals are guided by the client and their families.
