Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Kathleen Fort, LICSW, LCSW, a psychotherapist with more than 25 years of experience helping adults with ADHD, anxiety, procrastination, overwhelm, and work/life balance challenges.

I specialize in working with intelligent, capable adults who feel stuck despite their best efforts. My approach is warm, direct, and empowering, combining practical strategies with deeper insight to help clients create meaningful, lasting change.

I received my undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and my Master of Social Work from Tulane University with a specialization in mental health.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, direct, and empowering. I help clients better understand and change the patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, ADHD-related challenges, overwhelm, procrastination, and self-doubt.

Using evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, and EFT, I combine insight with practical strategies to help clients feel more focused, confident, balanced, and effective in their daily lives. Therapy with me is supportive, collaborative, and focused on creating meaningful, lasting change

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental first session focused on understanding what is bringing them to therapy and what they would like to change. Together, we will explore patterns related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, overwhelm, procrastination, relationships, and work/life balance while identifying practical next steps toward meaningful change.

My style is warm, direct, and collaborative, and clients often leave the first session feeling more understood, hopeful, and clear about how we can work together.
