Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Kate Higgins, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over two decades of clinical experience. My focus is helping women navigate the unique challenges and opportunities they encounter during midlife. I believe that the transformation we experience from 40-65 can be the most dynamic, exciting and deeply meaningful times of our lives

My approach to therapy

I embrace a client-centered approach, understanding that each person's journey through midlife is unique. I use evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotional Freedon Technique (EFT tapping) and Solution-Focused Therapy to help you identify solutions and navigate the challenges of this transformative phase. Mindfulness and stress reduction techniques are woven into our work to promote your overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

When you choose to work with me, you can expect a therapeutic partnership that is built on trust, empathy, and a commitment to your well-being. You can anticipate feeling seen and supported in a safe empathetic space, a collaborative approach with you as the expert in your own happiness, receiving solution based guidance, and feeling empowered to make the shifts in your life necessary for a life of joy and fulfillment.
