Great to meet you!

If you’re feeling stuck in old patterns, carrying trauma, or trying to reconnect with your authentic self, therapy can help. I work with people who are curious about their story, motivated for change, and ready to heal in a way that feels real and sustainable. Together, we can process trauma so it no longer feels overwhelming—and becomes part of your story, not something that controls your present.

I am certified in EMDR therapy and have extensive trauma training, including attachment trauma in children and teens. I worked in an LGBTQIA+ mental health facility for over 7 years, and I’m also part of the queer community. I offer an affirming, compassionate space for queer and trans clients and the people who love them.

I became a therapist later in life, and that path gives me a deep respect for reinvention, resilience, and the courage it takes to begin again. My heart is especially with the queer community and those who love them. And yes—Daisy Joy, my therapy dog, is part of the team.

My approach to therapy

I am primarily a person-centered therapist. That means I believe the client is the expert on themself. I lead with unconditional positive regard and empathy. Simultaneously, I see my clients through the EMDR therapy lens. I listen for negative beliefs from childhood and trauma that continue to inform a client's choices, beliefs and behaviors.

I work with clients who have experienced trauma, either "big T or little T" who want to make sense of their experiences. I have experience helping children to process their trauma before it can become a life-long burden. I help parents understand how to respond to their traumatized child to lead to strengthened attachment and healing.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about establishing rapport, getting to know each other and setting expecations for our work together. If you visit me in person, you will meet Daisy Joy and have the opportunity to settle in to my very comfortable office. If we are virtual, you will learn about how we can make the most of our remote work.
