Great to meet you!

APRN Board Certified in Psychiatry. 16.5 yrs prescribing experience, 9 yrs telepsychiatry, and 29 yrs as a psychiatric nurse inclusive.

Medication and therapy services with a holistic approach that embraces each persons' unique life experiences, personal strengths, and abilities to heal. People have choices and I help them find their life path. Medications are a serious choice and I feel that people deserve informed care and education about their choices. I like to partner with my clients, answer questions, and give healthy options. People deserve to understand how their medication can assist them along with health education for the best outcomes with recovery. "Less is more when it comes to medication," in other words I work very hard so that my clients get better without having to take too much medication. This is empowering for the people I meet and help.

My approach to therapy

I have knowledge and wisdom to bring to my clients, however, they have knowledge and wisdom to bring to me about themselves and the world they live in. I get to know my clients and I remember them! I listen, ask questions, answer questions, and listen more. People need to feel heard. I provide education and reasoning of what we are looking at and why a medication may be a good fit. I often give choices or even time to think about those choices.

What you can expect from me

Feeling comfortable, informed about their care and able to ask questions, I provide a comprehensive mental health assessment including any concerns about medical issues for safety with medication and their physical and mental well being. I want to know about my client's stress but not in an intrusive quick manner. This is a slow healing journey.
