Great to meet you!

Twenty years in primary care and long-term care taught me something that shapes everything I do: mental health doesn't exist separately from physical health, and it doesn't exist separately from loss.

I work with adults and older adults navigating chronic illness, grief, anxiety, depression, and the life transitions that come with aging and health challenges. I'm especially attuned to the experience of caregivers — people who are so focused on supporting someone else that their own wellbeing quietly erodes.

I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts, one of the highest clinical designations in social work, trained at Rhode Island College. I bring both clinical depth and genuine warmth to the work — because people going through hard things deserve both.

My approach to therapy

My primary framework is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — particularly well-suited for clients living with chronic conditions or ongoing grief, because it focuses on building a life that feels meaningful and values-driven even when certain things can't be changed or fixed.

I combine this with CBT to address the thought patterns driving anxiety and depression, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to keep momentum toward what you want your life to look like. I build on your inner strengths — what's already working — rather than dwelling exclusively on what isn't.

The goal isn't to eliminate what's hard. It's to help you live fully alongside it.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about getting oriented together. I'll ask what's brought you here, what's been weighing on you, and what you're hoping to feel or do differently. There's no pressure to have the full picture figured out.

I meet you where you are — not where I think you should be. By the end of our first conversation, we'll have a starting point that's grounded in your life, your circumstances, and your goals.
