Great to meet you!

Growing up near a national park, I am consistently reminded of and influenced by the importance of nature on our physical, mental, and emotional health in my mental health practice. As an LMFT, I've worked with a variety of populations, most of whom experienced major trauma or complex trauma, and aid them in reconnecting to their sense of self and safety. I received my MS from California Lutheran University with a specialization in trauma and BA from CSU Chico. I have been licensed for 4 years and have provided therapy for the last 8 years including an associate and traineeship.

My approach to therapy

My goal is to aid clients in navigating a society that is frequently working against them, rather than for them. I utilize a holistic perspective paired with family systems, DBT, experiential, somatic, and psychodynamic interventions. With due respect to the spectrum of emotions that present themselves in my sessions, I frequently find that my clients and I are able to enjoy the process and laugh along the way!

What you can expect from me

My goal for a first session is to understand what brought you to therapy, why now, and what you're hoping to get out of the process. It's important to me that I hear your perspective, in your words! I will let you set the tone, sharing only what feels safe and important in the initial session and thereafter. We can decide together if it feels like a good fit with no pressure :)
