Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Katie, a mother of two and part of the LGBTQIA+ community. I enjoy nature, dancing, concerts, and spending time with my family. As an addictions therapist, my background is in trauma. I love learning what creates your joy, pain, and motivation, then helping you to create balance. I ask questions so we can both get to know who you are and develop your goals. Therapy should be as dynamic as you. Let's strengthen and embrace who you already are, you're worth it.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is a dynamic collaboration of person-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, laced with motivational and inspiring connection. I use a direct (but tactful), evidence-based approach, informed by neuro-psychology and -biology, especially as it relates to trauma. I incorporate spirituality in a strengths-based perspective, and teach tools from within and outside of the psychology and therapy fields. Therapy should be holistic; mind, body, spirit, energy, and environment.

What you can expect from me

A different way of seeing themselves and the reasons for past behavior. A greater sense of power and control in their lives, a belief in their ability to connect with others in a genuine way, and maybe even to learn to like themselves more. Someone could expect to walk away with real tools that can help them heal themselves, and change their relationships from within themselves.
