Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience providing psychotherapy to adults and adolescents. I received my MSW from Boston University and completed extensive clinical training at Massachusetts General Hospital.

I have advanced training in trauma and anxiety treatment and hold certifications as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II) and Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP).

I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, and relationship challenges, including difficulty setting boundaries and navigating complex or invalidating dynamics. Many of my clients are thoughtful and capable but feel overwhelmed, stuck in overthinking, or unsure how to move forward.

My work is both supportive and practical, focused on helping you gain clarity, develop effective coping strategies, and make meaningful changes in your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is active, thoughtful, and focused on helping you make meaningful changes. I will guide the process, ask important questions, and help you stay focused, while also making sure you feel supported and understood.

I work collaboratively with clients to identify patterns, clarify what is not working, and develop more effective ways of thinking, responding, and relating to others. Sessions are not just about talking, they are focused on gaining insight and applying practical strategies that can be used in daily life.

I balance exploring underlying issues with helping you move forward, with an emphasis on clearer thinking, stronger boundaries, and improved coping with stress and anxiety.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will focus on understanding what brings you to therapy and what you would like to change or improve. I will ask questions to get a clear picture of your current concerns, relevant history, and patterns that may be contributing to what you’re experiencing.

You can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you can speak openly, along with a more structured and focused approach to help clarify goals and next steps. By the end of the session, we will begin to identify areas to work on and discuss a plan for moving forward.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling understood, with greater clarity about your situation and a sense of direction for the work ahead.
