Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with fourteen years working in the field specializing in children, family, and trauma. Additionally, I have worked with children and teens for 26 years including extensive experience with those having special needs. Having been trained in EMDR for trauma work along with DBT and CBT, I am able to incorporate a wide range of modalities depending on the circumstances of the individual client. I also have experience with RAD (Reactive Attachment Disorder) which can at times accompany those who have been adopted and at times have been in the foster system.

My approach to therapy

I strive to provide a warm and accepting approach allowing clients to understand that they can trust me and feel comfortable throughout the process. I do urge clients to grow and not stay where they are and often provide homework to continue the work outside of the sessions.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to understand where the client wants therapy to take them and to provide meaningful ways to do this as well as encouragement for growth and seeing things from a broader perspective that they might not be able to on their own. I hope clients can gain healing and insight as well as becoming the person they strive to be.
