Great to meet you!

The lotus flower grows in muddy water, and it is this environment that gives forth the flower’s first and most literal meaning: rising and blooming above the murk to achieve enlightenment. My name is Kathryn Wyler, and as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I deeply believe in your own innate ability to bloom, no matter the complexities of your daily life. It is an absolute privilege to help you lay a safe and empowering baseline for your care. Having earned my Master of Arts in Counseling with honors from St. Mary’s College in 2004, I bring over two decades of intensive clinical experience to my telehealth practice. My background includes serving as an intensive day treatment therapist and working with adolescents in county court, day treatment and residential settings. Today, I specialize in working with children as young as five, preteens, adolescents, young adults, and their parents. Whether we are addressing school issues, ADHD, peer conflict resolution, family transitions through divorce, eating disorder recovery, or parental stress, I am here to help you get the most out of every day.

My approach to therapy

I employ an empathic, collaborative, and highly creative approach to working with my clients, balancing evidence-based clinical expertise with an authentic, human connection. Because I specialize in telehealth for young clients, I have actively altered my online practice to keep children and teens committed and engaged, often sending custom-made therapy supplies or games directly to them. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Family Systems, and Relational modalities, my high-quality therapeutic services will give you the support you need to shift your mindset and manage your stress. Instead of feeling dominated and overwhelmed by problems, we will outline tangible goals to help you develop active, productive coping skills.

What you can expect from me

Reaching out for support takes immense courage, and my hope is that our initial online meeting acts as a quiet sanctuary where you and your family can safely step away from the heavy demands of daily stress. I strive to cultivate a calm, welcoming environment right from the start. During our first session, we will explore your history, symptoms, and client-centered goals at a natural, comfortable pace without any pressure to unpack everything at once. I want to make sure you feel completely heard and respected as we collaboratively build a clear roadmap tailored entirely to your needs. Please feel free to schedule a phone consultation at no cost to see if we would be a good match for your healing journey.
