Great to meet you!

Greetings! Please call me K., yes, just K. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, practicing in Florida. I earned a Masters degree in Social Work, with a concentration in Advanced Clinical Practice, from Saint Leo University. I am a Certified Trauma Specialist and received extensive training in treating co-morbid physical and mental health disorders, chronic pain and substance use disorders. I have considerable experience with mood disorders (anxiety/depression/bipolar), ADHD, trauma and stressor-related disorders, P.T.S.D, gender-related issues and life transitions.

My approach to therapy

I embrace a person-centered approach to therapy. I don't treat mental health issues, I work with individuals who are struggling and found the courage to ask for help. I am well versed in a number of evidenced-based treatment modalities, including CBT, TI-CBT, Motivational Interviewing, ACT, DBT and Solution Focused therapies. This allows me to curate a treatment plan that meets the unique needs of every client. I am passionate about helping my client’s find solutions, learn healthy coping skills and improve their overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

Therapy should be a meaningful conversation between two people, who share a common goal. During our first session we will begin to develop a good working relationship, based on trust, unwavering support and encouragement. If you are ready to make some positive changes, overcome challenges or just feel better, let's talk!
