Great to meet you!

I'm Kathy, an LCSW with 15 years of experience specializing in military families, children, and trauma. I work with clients of all ages, from infants and toddlers through seniors, and offer both in-person sessions in Colorado Springs and telehealth across Colorado. Military families and veterans are at the heart of my practice.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, empowering, and highly personalized, drawing from a broad toolkit shaped by 15 years of clinical work. I use EMDR for trauma processing, play therapy and parent-child approaches for younger clients, and Gottman and EFT methods for couples and family communication. I'm also trained in family systems approaches that look beyond individual symptoms to understand the relationships and patterns shaping your life. Whatever brings you in, I meet you where you are and we build from there.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other. I'll ask what's going on in your life and what you're hoping therapy can help you change or understand. We can move at whatever pace feels comfortable, and there's no pressure to share anything you're not ready for. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard and with a clear sense of what working together will look like.
