Great to meet you!

Hello and thank you for looking at my profile. My approach to providing therapy is to Keep. It. Simple.

I focus on the mind-body connection to help you understand why things feel the way they do, how our brain and body interpret certain feelings and experiences, and then what you can do to try to manage those feelings and make situations feel more comfortable and under control.

I specialize working with adolescents, but welcome all ages and genders. My main areas of clinical focus are in mood disorders such as depression and anxiety.

My approach to therapy

Everyone experiences unpleasant feelings such as anxiety, stress, and depression sometimes, but it's when these feelings build up without a healthy outlet that they can really effect our quality of life. The good news is that negative feelings are very manageable, and once you understand why you have certain unhelpful thoughts/behaviors/responses, you can learn to manage them in a more productive way that brings relief. Everyone needs someone they can trust and talk to who is outside their inner circle and meeting with a therapist can be a great step towards finding relief and understanding.

I specialize in working with teens and young adults, but offer therapy to adults of all ages. My approach is simple and solution-focused: I like to encourage real, reflective conversations where you feel comfortable and in the driver's seat. Humor can be a great tool in therapy and I encourage the use of humor to highlight the humanness in all of us.

I am CPTSD/Trauma certified.

What you can expect from me

The first session is when we can talk about what you are wanting to work on through counseling, and start identifying relevant patterns of thinking and behavior that we can build new skills and perspectives around to help you feel more comfortable and confident. Most clients I work with begin to feel some relief from symptoms within 2-3 sessions.
