Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome! I'm Katie, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 13 years of experience helping individuals navigate life's challenges and move toward healing, growth, and greater well-being.

Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of mental health settings, these experiences have given me the opportunity to support people facing a wide range of concerns, from trauma and substance use to anxiety, depression, and life transitions.

As a strong believer in meeting people where they are at, I am passionate about providing compassionate, person centered care tailored to each person's unique needs. As a certified trauma and substance use therapist, I have specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Brainspotting, and Substance Use populations. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered in your healing journey.

When I'm not working with clients, I enjoy traveling and exploring new places and cultures, as well as spending quality time with my family. I believe that connection, curiosity, and meaningful relationships enrich our lives, and I strive to bring those values into my work as a therapist.

I look forward to the opportunity to walk alongside you as you take the next steps toward healing and growth.

My approach to therapy

I believe that therapy works best when it is built on trust, collaboration, and genuine connection. My approach is centered on meeting you exactly where you are, without judgment or expectations. Whether you're facing a specific challenge, processing past experiences, or simply looking for support, we will work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I view therapy as a partnership, where your experiences, strengths, and goals guide the process. My role is to provide a supportive, safe, and authentic space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted. I understand that opening up can be difficult, and I respect that everyone's journey is unique. You are always in control of what you choose to share and when you are ready to share it.

My goal is to help you feel empowered, build on your strengths, and develop the tools and insights needed to create meaningful and lasting change. Together, we can work toward healing, growth, and a life that feels more aligned with who you want to be.

What you can expect from me

Please feel free to reach out to me directly for additional appointment availability.

Your first therapy session is a gentle starting point—nothing you need to prepare for perfectly. It’s simply a chance for us to begin getting to know one another in a welcoming, supportive space.

During our first meeting, we’ll spend time talking about you: your story, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to gain from the experience. We’ll also cover some of the basics, such as what therapy can look like, how we’ll work together, and what feels most important for you right now.

There’s no pressure to share everything at once. You are welcome to move at a pace that feels comfortable and right for you. Some people come to therapy with a clear goal in mind, while others simply know that something feels off and want support in understanding it. Both are completely valid places to begin.

My role is to listen with care, create a safe space where you can speak freely, and be direct when needed. Just as importantly, our first session is about beginning to build trust, so you can feel safe showing up as your authentic self.
