Great to meet you!

Hi there, my name is Katie Barton. My belief about the therapeutic relationship is this is one built one mutual trust, understanding and respect. I believe anyone who is seeking therapy services is acting out of bravery and a willingness to improve one or multiple areas of life. I hope to work with you through this process to help you achieve this goal and manifest the change you are seeking in your life!

My approach to therapy

Everyone has a unique and individual story. Sometimes this story has deep and dark moments or complex traumas affecting the course of an individual's life. If you have moments in your story triggering PTSD, anxiety or depression, I would love to join you where you are in your journey, assist you, challenge you to change the areas no longer deserving of so much power in your life.

What you can expect from me

An expected takeaway from a session with me is the ability to learn to process and challenge previously adapted coping strategies (defenses, defaults, etc.). My goal is to assist clients to experiment with new behaviors and process emotional reaction in the present day.
