Great to meet you!

Hi there! My name is Katie Brockman. I hold a license in Tennessee as a Clinical Social Worker. I have worked in clinical areas with individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, grief/loss, relationship difficulties, blended family dynamics, etc. I’m honored to take this journey together with you. It takes a lot of courage to seek out therapy. I look forward to getting to know your story, and coming along side you on your journey towards healing.

My approach to therapy

I provide a supportive, collaborative space for clients navigating their individualized concerns. My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing from evidence-based practices to help clients build coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen relationships. I prioritize building trust and creating a safe environment where you feel heard, understood, and supported.

For clients who wish to incorporate their faith into the therapeutic process, I offer integration of Christian Biblical principles and spiritual reflection alongside clinical evidenced based practices. Spirituality can be a powerful source of meaning and purpose for individuals in their counseling process.

What you can expect from me

Beginning therapy is a big step. In our first session, my priority is to create a warm, welcoming space where you feel heard. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, and the challenges you’re currently facing. You are always in control of what you choose to share. We will also begin identifying your goals and discuss how therapy can support you in reaching them. We will discuss the frequency of our sessions in order for you to feel supported moving forward. My goal is to help ease the anxieties that can come alongside beginning therapy, and begin to build practical tools for you from our very first session together.
