Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who genuinely loves this work. Over the years, I’ve practiced in a variety of settings, but private practice is where I’ve found my true home; a place where I can offer an environment that feels authentic, safe, and deeply compassionate. I believe people heal most fully when therapy invites them to show up as their true selves and feel truly supported.

I’ve been married to my best friend for 27 years, and together we have a wonderful blended family that keeps life meaningful and filled with laughter. Outside the therapy room, I enjoy teaching archery at my church and spending time outdoors. Nature and connection are at the heart of both my personal life and my therapeutic work; I believe healing often unfolds through quiet reflection, nurturing relationships, and reconnecting with the world around us and within us.

My approach to therapy

My therapy approach is warm, trauma-informed, and focused on the nervous system. I integrate Brainspotting, Somatic Therapy, and the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) to help clients regulate their bodies and emotions. Alongside these, I use practical, evidence-based tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to teach skills for emotional balance, communication, and mindfulness. I view each person as the expert in their own life and work collaboratively to uncover strengths, release stored stress, and build a sense of calm and empowerment. I often use psycho-education, grounding techniques, and gentle humor to make the process approachable and supportive.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance to slow down and get to know each other in a comfortable, judgment free space. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, your goals, and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past. I’ll explain how I work and answer any questions about the process, including Brainspotting or the Safe and Sound Protocol if relevant. My goal is for you to leave feeling understood, hopeful, and with a clear plan for your next steps in therapy.
