I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in family systems therapy. I work with individuals, couples and whole families. I received my undergraduate degree at UW-Stout in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Adolescence. My graduate studies were completed at Edgewood College in Madison for Marriage and Family Therapy.
My work is primarily experiential in being able to meet clients where they are at and work with the environment. I enjoy therapy with individuals, couples and whole family systems. Special focuses include cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focus, solution focus, spiritual and faith-based practices, juveniles with sexual behavior problems (with family included in the treatment), psychosexual evaluations with recommendations for treatment, and work with adolescents and their families.
My goal in therapy with individuals is to help them feel heard and have a safe place to vent and move forward.
My goal in therapy with adolescents/children is to have parents involved as much as possible. At the end of the day, I am not the one they need to be able to talk to. I can help bridge the gap in relationships.
My goal with couples is to have each individual heard and be able to communicate in more affective means while holding true to their values.
My goal in family therapy is to create closer bonded families while improving overall quality of relationships.
