Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor with nearly two decades of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health services to individuals, couples, and families. My clinical expertise includes mental health counseling, substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, crisis intervention, behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, case management, and care coordination. I earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Cardinal Stritch University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Beyond my professional work, I am passionate about giving back to the community through volunteer service, including supporting recovery advocacy initiatives, animal rescue organizations, and local fundraising efforts.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore the challenges they face.

I take a collaborative, client-centered approach, recognizing that each individual's experiences, strengths, and goals are unique. Together, we identify practical strategies to address mental health concerns, substance use, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, and other barriers to well-being. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices while remaining flexible to meet each client's needs and stage of change. I emphasize whole-person care that considers emotional, psychological, physical, and social factors. I believe in building on clients' existing strengths while helping them develop new coping skills, increase resilience, and improve their overall quality of life.

Above all, I value authenticity, compassion, and trust. My goal is to partner with clients as they gain insight, overcome obstacles, and build lasting skills that support healthier relationships, emotional wellness, and long-term recovery.

What you can expect from me

During my first session with a client, typically I review laws and policies surrounding therapy, gather basic background information and attempt to identify at least 1 goal the client is working towards. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, heard, and respected. Together, we'll identify your strengths, discuss practical strategies, and establish goals that support meaningful progress.
