Great to meet you!

If you're navigating anxiety, trauma, OCD, a mood or personality disorder, relationship struggles, or a co-occurring substance use issue, you don't have to sort it out alone. I'm Katie, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Certified Art Therapist with over six years of experience across crisis intervention, hospital care, PHP/IOP programs, and outpatient therapy. I work with adults 18 and older, and I'd love to help you find steadier ground.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative and individualized, drawing from CBT, DBT, strengths-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed practices while balancing practical psychoeducation with meaningful emotional processing. I take a direct and collaborative approach, helping clients develop insight into their patterns, build effective coping skills, and take greater control of their lives. My training in art therapy can also be incorporated when creative approaches may offer additional insight.

What you can expect from me

After your first session, you can expect greater clarity around what brought you to therapy and what you want to work toward. My goal is for you to leave with a stronger sense of confidence in starting the therapeutic process, feeling more empowered to advocate for yourself and your needs. You may not have all the answers after one session, but you should have a clearer direction and a sense of what we can accomplish together. Therapy takes honesty, effort, and a willingness to challenge yourself, but my hope is that you leave feeling motivated and excited about the possibility of meaningful change. Over time, we will establish longer-term goals, track your progress, and work toward building lasting skills and insight that you can carry beyond therapy.
