Great to meet you!

I'm deeply passionate about my work, and I'm so glad you're considering psychotherapy to make a difference in your life.

I've worked in mental health for ten years. Helping youth in crisis was my first motivation for pursuing psychology, and my years of volunteering as a hotline counselor at San Francisco Suicide Prevention propelled me fully into the field.

Since then, I have worked in-home with teens and families, with people recovering from drug and alcohol use in residential care, and with a range of folks in private practice. I enjoy working with creatives, the LGBTQ+ community, adolescents aged 15+, young adults, and folks who find themselves “starting over” in middle age.

Most people who arrive at my door come because they wonder if they’re depressed, or their anxiety is worsening, because drinking is numbing out the good in their lives, or they simply want to understand themselves better.

My approach to therapy

My first degree was in English literature, and I consider psychotherapy another art that tries to capture what it is to be human. My orientation is broadly psychodynamic and insight-oriented. I take my time, I aim for the depths, and I have great respect for the complexity of human beings. We might know we’re working well in session when it feels like we are co-creating new meanings in your life.

What you can expect from me
