Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Katie, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas, focused on blending creativity and connection. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from Texas State University and went on to receive my Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington, where I focused on mental health and substance use. I also had the opportunity to study Ecotherapy while abroad in England, blending my love for nature with my therapeutic approach.

My approach to therapy

I want to get to know you first, as a human. You’re the captain of the ship; I’m here to help you steer, support your goals, and (kindly) call you out when something’s getting in your way. I focus on compassion and connection, with a side of dry humor. I use a blend of DBT, CBT, and ACT, depending on what works best for you. I’m also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, a creative and powerful way to work through trauma.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a space that feels supportive, honest, and human. My goal is to create an environment where you feel safe enough to be real, challenged enough to grow, and supported every step of the way. We’ll work on gaining insight, building coping tools, and untangling patterns that aren’t serving you anymore. Whether we’re addressing anxiety, trauma, boundaries, or just trying to make life feel less overwhelming, I’ll meet you with compassion, curiosity, and a bit of humor to help lighten the load.
