Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in San Luis Obispo County specializing in perinatal mental health. As a social worker, I am passionate about making ripples that create lasting change—specifically within the systems that fail to acknowledge the fundamental importance of mental health. My decision to pursue a certification in perinatal mental health was born out of my own journey. I realized firsthand that the path to motherhood isn't always what we expect it will be, and that our healthcare system often prioritizes physical outcomes while leaving the emotional well-being of the parent in the shadows.

Whether you are navigating the heartbreak of loss, the quiet terror of pregnancy after loss, or the unexpected identity shifts of postpartum life, I want you to know: your feelings are valid, and they are welcome here. I am dedicated to creating a safe, shame-free space for mothers to share their challenges, ensuring that your mental health is a priority, not an afterthought.

My approach to therapy

I believe that the most powerful tool for meaningful change is a strong, authentic helping relationship. Therapy is not a "one-size-fits-all" process. It is a collaborative partnership built on trust and mutual respect. My approach is entirely individualized and guided by you. While I bring clinical expertise to our sessions, you are the expert on your own life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about building the foundation of our therapuetic relationship. My primary goal is to provide a safe, soft landing where you feel truly seen and heard. We will begin by discussing what brought you to therapy and what your current needs are. This is a collaborative space guided by you. We will talk about your goals for our work together and ensure you leave the session feeling validated and supported. My role is to listen and begin identifying the tools that will help you navigate your unique challenges, so you don't have to carry the weight of this journey alone.
