Great to meet you!

I am a licensed professional counselor in Missouri (LPC), dog-mom to two lovely and energetic shepherd mixes, and lover of the great outdoors. I do occasionally hug trees and if I could have a superpower, I'd like to be fluent in every language, including animal languages (I am fluent in English and have moderate Spanish language skills). Clinically, I have three years of experience in mental health counseling including a graduate internship and supervised practice as a provisionally licensed professional counselor. My background is in community mental health and community outreach, with concentrated experience in working with trauma, adjustment to life changes and transition, anxiety, depression, multi-cultural counseling, relationships, social skills, stress management, and a variety of other needs. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Counseling in Missouri in 2024 and have since completed formal training and continuing education in EMDR, ITCT, DBT-A, CCPT, and parenting peer-support groups.

My approach to therapy

I take an eclectic, person-centered approach to therapy. That means I focus on building a relationship with you - the person - first, then work together with you using a mixture of the methods I am familiar with to best fit your needs.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, I will focus on getting to know you, what brought you into therapy, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. I'll also take time to explain the logistics (like scheduling, confidentiality, communication, and more) and answer any questions you might have.
