Great to meet you!

My name is Katina Gould, and I would like to begin by acknowledging the courage that it takes to seek out therapy! I am a true Washington native; born and raised here surrounded by family and friends. I love the boundless beauty that the PNW offers us. Being at the ocean, or in the mountains beneath the trees is my happy place.

I'm living my dream of being a therapist. I specialize in helping people return to wholeness. Therapy can be challenging but it can also be fun! I value humor, grace, and integrity. I also enjoy staying curious with my clients in their creative process.

My approach to therapy

I believe that counseling is, at its core, a trusting relationship that is built on truth, courage, and communication. Our experiences shape who we are and what we believe. Each person has an individual experience with the world around them and this has its benefits and limitations that are challenging to overcome. My goal as a counselor is to provide a nonjudgmental and supportive environment to help you learn more about yourself, and where you want to go. I will listen intently to your concerns, and with compassion and empathy, help you clarify your needs and your wants, and formulate a plan to help you reach the goals you have set for yourself.

What you can expect from me

I strive to create a warm, and welcoming space where there is nonjudgmental positive regard. In this space you will feel heard. My goal is to help you remove blocks or barriers within yourself that keep you from fully living. I believe human beings are resilient and capable of learning new ways of coping. You will leave with tools and skills for coping and managing what life brings. Also, a greater self-awareness of who you are, and how to express your needs.
