Great to meet you!

I believe that every person has a unique story, and understanding that story is essential to creating meaningful, lasting change. I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable exploring both current challenges and the experiences that have shaped them. My work is grounded in cultural humility, trauma-informed care, and genuine curiosity. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or substance use, my goal is to help you better understand yourself and develop the tools needed to live a more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is primarily psychodynamic and trauma-informed, while integrating evidence-based strategies from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other approaches when appropriate. I believe that symptoms often have deeper roots, and together we'll explore how past experiences, family relationships, and life events continue to influence your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors today. The more I understand your story, the better I can tailor treatment to your unique needs. My goal is not only to help you manage symptoms but also to address the underlying patterns contributing to your distress so that change is both meaningful and lasting.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for me to get to know you beyond the concerns that brought you to therapy. I'll spend time learning about your current challenges, your personal history, important relationships, family background, and what you hope to gain from treatment. Together, we'll begin identifying patterns, establish goals, and create a treatment plan that feels collaborative and individualized. I generally view therapy as a process rather than a quick fix, and I encourage clients to commit to weekly sessions, particularly at the beginning of treatment, to build momentum, strengthen our therapeutic relationship, and support meaningful progress.
