Great to meet you!

I have over 5 years experience working with a large variety of backgrounds. Before becoming a therapist I worked with adults with autism and other developmental disabilities for over 8 years. This gave me a great understanding on how to work with this population utilizing psychotherapy skills, and ways I could support families.

My approach to therapy

I am well versed in prescriptive psychotherapy where treatment is not a one-size-fits-all model, since people are more complex and intricate than meets the eye. Some examples of psychotherapy models I incorporate in treatment but not all are EMDR, CBT, solution focused therapy, person centered.

What you can expect from me

Clients will typically take away from a session with me a sense of being heard, have little goals set such as occasionally something to explore/ think about for next session or have a better idea how to handle a particular circumstance. Occasionally I will send clients material to review/ homework with no urgency to complete by next session. I understand life can be busy and always leave off that it can be completed for next session.
