Great to meet you!

I attended Lenoir-Rhyne University in North Carolina for undergraduate studies, and received her masters in social work from the University of South Carolina. I worked for Broward Health under the Comprehensive Family AIDS Program for 24 years as a social service counselor, providing services to women and children living with HIV/AIDS. In 2019, I began working in private practice, becoming full time in 2021. I spent 10 years of my childhood living in Hong Kong and traveled to many countries and was exposed to many cultures. It was through these experiences that I learned to value each individual and made a commitment to dedicate my life to helping others.

My experiences have led me to specialize in bereavement, loss and grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, and women’s issues. I also have experience with fertility issues and elderly support.

My approach to therapy

I use several theories and practices including cognitive-behavioral intervention, motivational interviewing and solution-focused therapy to assist individual clients in achieving their goals. I am dedicated to helping others find hope and peace in their lives in order to reach their full potential.

What you can expect from me

I am dedicated to providing a safe space for client's to express feelings and gain understanding of present and past experiences. Goals for therapy include helping clients understand patterns in their lives to enhance a deeper understanding of personal triggers, strengths, and areas for growth. I will offer practical tools and techniques for managing stress, anxiety, depression, and other challenges. Additionally, therapeutic sessions will offer validation and encouragement to work toward healing and positive changes.
