Great to meet you!

I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up as your authentic self without fear of judgment. My approach is warm, supportive, collaborative, and direct when needed. I meet clients where they are while helping them recognize patterns, build on their strengths, and develop practical tools for creating meaningful change.

I bring more than 20 years of experience working with adults, children, families, and individuals navigating complex life circumstances. My background includes trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, behavioral health assessments, family systems, and supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, major life transitions, stress, and feelings of being overwhelmed or stuck.

My style combines compassion with accountability. I am not a therapist who simply sits back and listens—I ask thoughtful questions, help you make connections, challenge you when appropriate, and work with you to identify realistic steps toward your goals. Depending on your needs, I incorporate approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed interventions, strengths-based therapy, and solution-focused strategies.

I especially enjoy working with people who spend so much of their lives taking care of everyone else and are ready to make space for themselves. Whether you are navigating a difficult transition, rebuilding after a painful experience, strengthening relationships, or simply trying to figure out what comes next, you do not have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can begin exactly where you are.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, strengths-based, and practical. I believe clients are the experts on their own lives, and my role is to help you better understand your experiences, recognize patterns, build on your strengths, and develop tools that support meaningful and lasting change.

I am an active therapist who listens carefully while also asking questions, offering feedback, and gently challenging you when it may help you grow. I tailor treatment to each person rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. My work incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused strategies, trauma-informed care, and other evidence-based interventions based on your individual needs and goals.

I have extensive experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, relationship and family concerns, life transitions, crisis situations, and individuals navigating complex or challenging circumstances. I particularly enjoy helping clients who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or accustomed to taking care of everyone else begin prioritizing their own emotional well-being.

Therapy with me is a partnership. Together, we will identify what you want to change, understand what may be getting in the way, and develop realistic strategies to help you move toward the life you want.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin creating a space where you feel comfortable being yourself. There is no pressure to tell your entire story in one session. We will move at a pace that feels appropriate for you.

I will spend time learning about what brought you to therapy, what is happening in your life right now, your strengths and challenges, and what you hope will be different as a result of our work together. We will begin identifying goals that are meaningful, realistic, and specific to your needs.

You can expect me to be warm, engaged, curious, and nonjudgmental. I may ask questions to help us understand patterns or make connections, but therapy is always a collaborative process. By the end of our first few sessions, my goal is for you to have a clearer understanding of what we are working toward and to feel that you have a partner who is genuinely invested in helping you move forward.
