Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm an LPC offering individual counseling to adolescents, college students, and adults experiencing difficulties such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, among other areas. I received my BS in Psychology from Texas Christian University in 2016 and my MS in Counseling from East Texas A&M in 2018. Growing up, I loved helping others and felt that listening and empathy came naturally to me. It's a privilege now to bring these same aspects into my role as a counselor.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is centered on meeting clients where they are at. With non-judgmental listening, unconditional positive regard, and a bit of humor, my goal each session is to go at your pace and help you feel comfortable and seen. My approach is humanistic in nature, and I like to draw from different therapeutic approaches to support clients, depending on what they might need, including Person-Centered Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

What you can expect from me

It can feel overwhelming to begin the therapy process. My goal each session is to provide a safe and comfortable space for clients to process their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Clients sometimes come to me having never experienced therapy before. It's important to me to build trust with my clients and a positive therapeutic relationship. Clients typically feel more comfortable by the end of our first session and are usually motivated to begin the work toward growth and self-improvement.
