Great to meet you!

I am a New York State–licensed mental health counselor, psychotherapist, and clinical supervisor with specialized training and experience in trauma-focused care. I work with individuals navigating trauma and complex trauma, anxiety, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, intrusive thoughts, and periods of feeling overwhelmed or stuck. My approach is trauma-informed, multicultural, strengths-based, and integrative, drawing from EMDR, CBT, mindfulness, and other evidence-based therapies to meet each client’s individual needs. I offer a safe, sex-positive, and LGBTQ-affirming space where you can feel fully seen, understood, and valued for who you are. Together, we will deepen self-understanding, develop practical tools for managing life’s challenges, and help you build greater confidence, connection, and peace in your life.

My approach to therapy

My style is warm, collaborative, and compassionate, while also being active and practical in helping clients create meaningful change. I work to understand each client as a whole person, considering their history, identities, relationships, strengths, and current circumstances. I integrate EMDR, CBT, mindfulness, and other evidence-based approaches according to each client’s needs. I specialize in trauma and complex trauma, anxiety, relationship concerns, self-esteem, intrusive thoughts, and patterns that leave people feeling overwhelmed or stuck. Together, we work to understand the roots of current difficulties, develop effective coping skills, process painful experiences, and build greater confidence, connection, and emotional well-being.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can begin sharing what has brought you to therapy at a pace that feels comfortable. We will discuss your current concerns, relevant history, strengths, and what you hope will be different as a result of our work together. You will not be expected to disclose painful or traumatic experiences before you feel ready. I will answer your questions, explain how I work, and collaborate with you to identify treatment goals that feel meaningful and achievable. By the end of the session, my goal is that you will feel heard, have a clearer sense of our path forward, and begin to feel hopeful about the possibility of change.
