Great to meet you!

You may understand why you feel the way you do and still find yourself overwhelmed, disconnected, or caught in familiar patterns. I work with adults, couples, and teens navigating trauma, addiction, relationship challenges, and the lasting effects of difficult childhood or family experiences.

I aspire to bring gentleness, kindness, and authenticity to our work. My hope is that you can speak openly, feel understood, and explore difficult experiences without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. I believe healing is always possible, even when the way forward feels unclear.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity - never judgment. I integrate somatic therapy with attachment and family systems perspectives, helping you explore how past experiences shape your emotions, body responses, and relationships. In sessions, we might notice where tension shows up in your body, explore familiar relationship patterns, or offer compassion to parts of you that learned to cope early in life.

I also draw from clinically-proven modalities like CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing to help you explore thought patterns, build skills for managing difficult emotions, and work through mixed feelings. We’ll move at a pace that feels manageable and choose approaches that fit your needs. And, if spirituality is meaningful to you, I greatly enjoy including it as a part of our healing work.

What you can expect from me

I want to emphasize that you don’t need to arrive with the right words or have everything figured out. You can have no idea what to expect, feel uncertain, or even skeptical of whether or not therapy will work. All of you is welcome here.

Our first session will be a conversation focused on getting to know you. I’ll ask about what brings you to therapy, relevant parts of your history, and what you hope will change. You’ll also have space to ask questions and get a feel for working with me. I always end my sessions with the reminder to 'be kind to you' - and together, we'll work on cultivating that self-kindness for greater, long-lasting change.
