Great to meet you!

I’m Kay Griffin, a compassionate, Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in New York State with 25+ years of experience and dedicated service to a diverse population of individuals experiencing emotion-dysregulation due to inability to cope with problems of living. Drawing from my background as a scientific researcher, student of spirituality, and Nutrition Health Counselor, I bring a holistic approach to my practice.

My approach to therapy

I view each client as capable and strong and the expert in how or what they want their life to be. As the therapist, I see my role as the expert in asking the question(s) that help you conceptualize and articulate your desired outcome. My role is to find out what’s already good in the client’s life and help you utilize this goodness to achieve greatness. I’m passionate about co-constructing the transformation you're seeking to have the outcome you desire to create the life you want.

What you can expect from me

One of my specialties is managing emotionally dysregulated clients. The premise of my work is acceptance, self-compassion, and self-regulation. Sessions with clients are positive, high-spirited, and solution-focused. I instill hope.
