Hello, I am so grateful you have decided to seek out assistance in walking through this time of your life. I have been a licensed therapist for over 15 years. 2010 to 2001 In Seattle and @021 to current in the Reno /Tahoe area. I have a great deal of experience assisting clients to gain insight into themselves, understanding of reactions to others and ways to find peace by settling into authentic self. I look forward to getting to know each other.
Primarily I have worked with Cognitive Behavioral Therapeutic (CBT) approach, as I have gained insights and training, I find I utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS) as a way to understand how our cognitions and behaviors were woven into us over our lifetime.
I am a certified Psychedelics Therapist. I collaborate with medical providers who offer Ketamine treatment for Depression, PTSD, Anxiety, mood disruptions and addictions. I offer Psilocybin education and safety protocols. I enjoy working with clients in preparation of Ketamine or psychedelic work and the post integration of the experience therapy, making sense of altered states. Some Ketamine treatments are covered under insurance.
You do not have to work with Ketamine or Psychedelics to work with me. I share this info as skills I offer.
In an initial session or call I like to gather a bit about what is causing distress and gain insight into what you are looking for. More often than not a person will say what they need but not know how to get there. I see our work as finding the pathway or way to open doors that feel closed. You will leave having a greater understanding of what it is you are seeking and new possibilities.
