Great to meet you!

Are you looking for a therapist who is encouraging, warm, empathetic, and affirming? If so, you may be in the right place. Hi, I’m Kayla Bellard, and I’m here to support you in your journey toward healing and growth.

As a fellow Louisianian, I value connection, authenticity, and meeting people where they are. I enjoy southern cuisine, Mardi Gras parades, and spending time outdoors - and I bring that same warmth and down-to-earth approach into my work with clients. I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or major life transitions. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and safe to explore your experiences.

My therapeutic approach is person-centered and focused on your goals, needs, and personal growth. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, and self-discovery. Together, we focus on collaboration, respect, and building insight so you can move forward with confidence and clarity.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person-centered, collaborative, and supportive. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable expressing your thoughts and emotions. I believe in validating your experiences while also helping you explore solutions and new perspectives creatively.

I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Together, we build coping skills, increase self-awareness, and develop practical strategies like EMDR to help you manage emotional distress and navigate life’s challenges in a way that feels authentic to you.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming and relaxed environment. I bring warmth, humor, and curiosity as we begin getting to know one another. I’ll ask questions about your social, psychological, and family background so I can better understand your experiences and goals.

The first session focuses on building a strong therapeutic relationship and creating a safe space for you to share what brought you to therapy — whether that’s anxiety, trauma, stress, depression, or life changes. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the work we’ll do together.
