Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Kayla, a licensed clinical social worker in Massachusetts seeing clients entirely by telehealth. My style is energetic, open-minded, and a little playful, because therapy works best when you feel like a whole person, not a diagnosis. I work with adults and seniors carrying anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or relationship strain, and I'd love to connect.

My approach to therapy

My approach is dialectical at its core: I hold space for two true things at once, like 'you're doing your best' and 'you deserve more support.' In session, we might use cognitive behavioral and acceptance-based tools to examine the thoughts that feel like facts, dialectical skills to regulate big emotions in the moment, and a trauma-informed, strength-based lens throughout, whether we're working with you alone or your family system. I draw on your own resilience and move at the pace that's right for you.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is mostly conversation: what's bringing you in, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping changes. From there we build a plan together, revisiting it as things shift. Clients tell me sessions feel direct but warm, like talking to someone who's genuinely curious about you and won't let you white-knuckle it alone. You can expect honesty, humor when it fits, and steady support between sessions.
