Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Kayla, and I graduated from a CACREP-accredited graduate school in 2016 with my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I enjoy working with clients of all ages, and specifically love providing play therapy for children, parenting sessions, and working with new Moms adjusting to motherhood and all of the emotional shifts that come with it as they work to find themselves in this new season of life.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is goal-oriented, but always moving at a pace that feels right to you. I would consider myself to be a very person-centered therapist, focusing on meeting you where you're at for each session. My style is warm and approachable, as opposed to direct.

What you can expect from our first session

In session with me, clients can expect a supportive and nonjudgmental space to explore their thoughts, emotions, and challenges. My goal is to help clients build self-awareness and develop healthy coping skills for every day life. I focus on practical tools and provide insights to promote emotional well-being and resilience. Whether navigating a major life transition or looking to help your child work through their big feelings, my clients leave with a greater sense of clarity and empowerment.

Additionally, as a perinatal-trained therapist, I specialize in supporting women through the emotional rollercoaster of pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood. I help new and expectant moms navigate anxiety, depression, birth trauma, identity shifts, and the everyday stresses of parenthood. My approach focuses on providing a safe, nonjudgmental space where women can process their experiences, feel validated and seen, while also feeling empowered in their journey. Whether it’s adjusting to life with a newborn, managing mood changes, or addressing past experiences that impact motherhood, I offer compassionate guidance tailored to each woman’s unique needs.
