Great to meet you!

I believe that every person deserves a place where they feel genuinely heard, accepted, and supported. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming environment where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. Whether you're coming to therapy during one of the hardest seasons of your life or simply looking for support and personal growth, I'm honored to walk alongside you.

I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay with a Clinical and Child Welfare emphasis. For over 10 years, I have worked with children and families in a variety of settings, including Child Protective Services, where I developed a strong understanding of trauma, family dynamics, foster care, adoption, and the child welfare system. I am also trained in Functional Family Therapy (FFT) and have experience providing trauma-informed treatment and play therapy for children.

Although I have a passion for working with children and families, I truly enjoy working with clients of all ages. I love helping children, teens, adults, parents, and families navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, stress, relationship challenges, and many of life's everyday struggles.

Outside of the therapy office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our sons, drinking coffee, listening to music, kayaking, exploring local thrift stores, and spending time outdoors. I'm also an animal lover and enjoy hanging out with my cats and our dachshund. I believe that building a genuine connection is one of the most important parts of therapy, and I hope you'll feel comfortable being yourself when we meet.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is most effective when it feels like a partnership. Every client has a unique story, so I tailor treatment to meet your individual needs, strengths, and goals rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

My style is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and practical. I strive to create a safe space where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences while learning skills that help you outside of our sessions. I use evidence-based interventions and draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral techniques, play therapy, Functional Family Therapy principles, strengths-based therapy, and person-centered therapy.

Whether we're helping your child learn to regulate big emotions, processing difficult experiences from the past, strengthening family relationships, or helping you manage anxiety, depression, stress, or life transitions, my goal is to help you build resilience, confidence, and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and it's completely normal to feel nervous. My goal is to make your first session feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible.

During our first appointment, we'll spend time getting to know one another. I'll ask questions about what brings you to therapy, your personal history, your strengths, and what you hope to gain from counseling. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share any concerns, and decide whether I feel like the right fit for you.

You don't need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. There is no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with, and we will move at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we'll begin identifying your goals and create a plan that supports the life you want to build. My hope is that you'll leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the journey ahead.
