Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Kayla, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, working in mental health for over 13 years.

I received my Master of Social Work degree from Louisiana State University, and have worked in a variety of settings. I have experience working in inpatient and outpatient levels of care in adult mental health and memory care units. I have worked in public education providing therapy to adolescents as the licensed mental health provider on their campuses.

My approach to therapy

I typically provide therapy from a CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) model and incorporate a solutions-focused approach to the concerns you bring to the table. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and will work with you to explore the strengths you possess in order to help you live your ideal life. With CBT, we will explore how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors can be changed to improve your mood, so you can feel satisfied and confident in your ability to cope with challenges.

What you can expect from me

As my client, you can expect to be invited into a warm, therapeutic partnership where you set the pace as we work towards understanding and solutions. You can expect to enter into a supportive, therapeutic partnership.
