Great to meet you!
I graduated from the University of Florida in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, with a focus on veteran services, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Substance Use Disorders, along with a minor in Innovation. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Walden University in 2020, with a focus on Advanced Clinical Social Work and Addiction.
Throughout my career, I have worked with various healthcare agencies, inpatient & outpatient facilities, hospice services, justice-involved programs, veteran focused groups, and local, state, & federal agencies. These experiences have allowed me to support individuals through a variety of challenges while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and community partners to connect clients with appropriate services, resources, and support.
I have a particular passion for working with older adults, veterans, and justice-involved individuals. My areas of focus include grief and bereavement, hospice and end-of-life care, trauma, addiction recovery, serious mental illness, and case management. My experience has given me the opportunity to provide compassionate support to individuals navigating life's challenges. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can process their experiences and work toward meaningful change.
My approach is person-centered and integrative, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-based stress reduction. My goal is to meet each client where they are, recognize their strengths, and provide individualized support that encourages growth, resilience, and meaningful change.
