Great to meet you!

Professionally, I have been working in the mental health field since 2010. This experience has ranged across the span of mental health crisis work in community mental health, work with older adults in long term care, and currently in inpatient psychiatric work as the Manager of Psychiatric Programming. Collectively, these experiences have given me a deep understanding of the impact of mental health across all systems and remind me of the great resiliency of individuals.

My approach to therapy

I received my BS in Social Work from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX in 2014 and my Masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2018. As a lifelong resident of Southeast Texas, I am intimately aware of the community’s strengths and challenges. My hope is to be a resource for our community (and beyond). I am a proud Clinical Director of two Critical Incident Stress Management Teams. Seeing the impact of secondary trauma and compassion fatigue feeds my passion for the mental health of first responders and helping professionals. I also have special interest in working with individuals and families navigating severe and persistent mental illness, new and difficult life transitions and look forward to gaining the opportunity to work with other populations.

What you can expect from me

Taking the first step into therapy can feel daunting, so our initial session is designed to be as comfortable and transparent as possible. You can expect a warm, grounded environment where your story takes center stage. Together, we will explore your current struggles and background while also identifying one or two tangible goals for our ongoing work. You will leave our first session with a clear sense of my therapeutic style, a mutual understanding of your path forward, and an immediate sense of support.
